Legal information

Cancellations & refunds

How cancellations are generally handled for property services, subject to the written agreement and applicable consumer law.

This page provides general information about how Bonds Property Repairs LTD approaches website use and customer enquiries. It is not legal advice. Project-specific terms will be confirmed in writing where applicable.

Before work starts

Tell us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or postpone agreed work. The position on any deposit will depend on the written agreement, work already undertaken, commitments made and materials ordered specifically for the project.

Consumer cancellation rights

Where UK consumer cancellation rights apply to a contract agreed online, by telephone or away from business premises, a consumer will generally have a 14-day cancellation period. The exact right and any required notice will depend on the circumstances.

Work requested during the cancellation period

If a consumer expressly asks for work to start within a relevant cancellation period, they may be required to pay a reasonable amount for work completed before cancellation. For urgent repair or maintenance specifically requested during that period, cancellation rights may be affected once the requested service is fully performed.

Materials and completed work

Refunds do not normally cover properly completed work, reasonable costs already incurred or bespoke materials that cannot reasonably be returned, subject always to statutory rights and the agreed project terms.

Raising a concern

Contact us promptly with the project details. We will review the agreed scope, written terms, work completed and any costs committed before confirming the next steps.
